Freetown Meeting for Worship

During the war Abdul Kamara was able to start a small Quaker Reading group. He had many interested Friends but there was no-where for them to meet. In 2010 a small Quaker Meeting House was opened at the Centre for the Prevention of Violent Conflict in Rokel. Very quickly large numbers of people started attending. A large children's meeting is led by Kadie Kargbo and Abu Bakaar. Many of those attending would like an African  style programmed Meeting for Worship. However a silent meeting is preferred by some  members of the original Quaker Reading Group.
