The Rokel area has no health provision. People are unable to get to hospitals in Freetown because of lack of transport. There are maternity services available in Freetown now but these are difficult for Rokel residents to access. Many women and babies die at the time of childbirth. We are building a clinic and have been in communication with Dr . Our clinic will focus on maternal and child health services and health promotion. There will be some facility for other illnesses but we will not have the ability to offer services for these things free of charge.
